Clarity (Yorkshire) Limited (trading as Clarity Ltd).

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

The use of services offered by Clarity Ltd is subject exclusively to these terms and conditions.

Clarity Ltd is a United Kingdom based company and subject to English law.

Accepting services offered by Clarity Ltd is conditional on full acceptance of the terms and conditions and any disclaimers contained therein.

Should you not accept the terms and conditions, you must refrain from accepting the services offered by Clarity Ltd.

Professional and Ethical Standards

Clarity Ltd and individual clinicians who provide services for Clarity Ltd will endeavour to ensure that the highest level of professional standards are adhered to, that all clinicians attend to the standards and guidelines of their professional organisations and do not act outside areas of their professional competence.

All clinicians who provide services for Clarity Ltd will be registered with professional organisations, ensure that their revalidation and appraisal process are up to date and have appropriate indemnity insurance.


Clarity Ltd will ensure that all clinicians who provide services for the organisation are aware of relevant legislation in respect of safeguarding vulnerable adults and child protection.  All clinicians are Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked.

Payment Terms

Clarity Ltd will send out a payment authorisation form prior to the appointment for the client to complete, sign and either send to Clarity Ltd or bring with them to the arranged appointment.  Immediately following your appointment, Clarity Ltd will send an invoice in the post and 7 days following this will automatically take payment via your card details issued on the payment authorisation form.  You have 7 days in which to pay your outstanding invoice by different means.  Clarity Ltd accepts cash, cheque, BACS, debit card or credit card payments in line with the fee schedule which is available to view on our website www.privatechildpsychiatry.co.uk under the fees section, a hard copy of which will also be sent in the post with the initial appointment confirmation.  Any changes in fees will be communicated accordingly.  If you do choose to pay via a different means within the 7 days, please can you notify us.

Payment Terms for clients with health insurance

If you have a health insurance policy which covers your appointment, Clarity Ltd will be able to claim the fees directly from your insurer.  In order for us to do so, please inform us which insurance company we need to invoice, your membership number and any pre-authorisation code.  Clarity Ltd strongly advises you to contact your insurer before making an appointment to ensure you are covered by your policy and to find out your policy excess amount, if any.  If your insurer declines to pay, you will be liable for the full cost of the appointment. 

Most insurance companies have policy excesses in place which will need to be paid directly by you to Clarity Ltd on the day of appointment.  It is your responsibility to find out from your insurer your policy details, including your policy excess amount.  For this purpose, Clarity Ltd will send a payment authorisation form for you to sign, complete and bring to your appointment in order for us to obtain excess payment, if applicable.  Once we are notified by your insurer of the amount not covered by your policy we will automatically charge your card for the outstanding excess amount.

Payments by debit or credit card

On the payment authorisation form there is provision to pay by debit or credit card.  Our clinicians do not have card machines at appointment locations so payment is processed by secure means remotely via Worldpay with the information provided by you on the payment authorisation form.  Once payment has been received for the initial appointment, a recurring payment service will be set up with Worldpay for any subsequent appointment fees.  Your payment authorisation form will be securely disposed of by Clarity (Yorkshire) Ltd.   This payment method is very secure and Worldpay are Level 1 PCI DSS Compliant. 

Cancellation Policy/Fees

Clarity Ltd operate a strict 48 hour cancellation policy.  If we are not notified by telephone or e-mail more than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment then the advertised cancellation fee will apply. 


By booking/attending an appointment you are deemed to have accepted Clarity Ltd’s terms and conditions.

Confidentiality and data protection

Any record of consultation will be kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act (http://legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/29/contents).  Clarity Ltd will not sell, rent or exchange personal information with any third party for commercial reasons.  Clarity Ltd have the highest levels of security in place to ensure we can provide a safe and confidential service.  In the unlikely event that any parties illegally accessed any stored information we will immediately bring it to the attention of those concerned.
