General guidelines for clients covered by Medical Health insurance:

1. Visit your GP to discuss your situation.

2. Once your GP has agreed that a psychiatric consultation is appropriate, please request for the referral letter to be addressed to Dr James Dickens.

3. Contact your insurance company as some providers require you to obtain a pre-authorisation code before arranging your consultation*. 

4. Please contact Sara Webster on 01423 799130 or
e-mail sara@clarity-yorkshire.co.uk to arrange a convenient appointment.

5. Dr Dickens is registered with the majority of the insurance companies which will cover his fees directly*.  You will be responsible for paying any excess fees directly to Clarity Ltd on the day of appointment.

6. Payment can be made by cash, debit card, credit card, bank transfer (in advance) or cheque.

* Please note that some insurance companies do not cover all mental health diagnosis.  Please contact them directly to find out whether your area of concern is included in your policy. 

Important information for clients who self-pay:

A payment agreement form will be sent out with your appointment confirmation which you will need to complete, sign and either send back to us or bring with you to your consultation.  An invoice will be sent immediately after your appointment and payment will be debited automatically 7 days following this.  Please see Fees for further information.
